Two years on from her victory, the business owner has bagged a new role with the BBC

The BBC’s Asian Network announced that Harpreet was joining the team on Instagram.

“Harpreet Kaur will be joining the Asian Network as the new host of The Everyday Hustle (Mondays 6am). Her first show will broadcast on 15 April,” the post read.

She is taking over from current host Sonya Barlow, who will have her last show on 25 March.

“Welcome to the family Harpreet and thank you for everything, Sonya,” the statement finished.

Harpreet has previously been featured on the BBC Asian Network and been featured on the podcast discussing her best business tips, but is now joining the BBC Sounds show on a permanent basis.

The Apprentice fans were quick to share their support for Harpreet’s new role.

“OMG! Congratulations Harpreet Kaur, you gonna do an amazing job,” one gushed in the comments.

“Absolutely wicked! Looking forward to this,” another praised.

A third said: “Omg congratulations Harpreet! This is wonderful news. I am so happy for you!!”

While a fourth commented, “that’s amazing!”

When did Harpreet win The Apprentice?

Harpreet Kaur appeared on series 16 of the BBC reality series.

The business hopeful from West Yorkshire beat Kathryn Burn in the final boardroom showdown to realise a lifelong dream.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun after her win, she said: “I’m just ecstatic. I’m so happy. I’m proud of myself. I’ve worked really really hard to get to this point.

“Since the age of 18 I’ve just been at it full time. I’ve never stopped, and I feel this is the moment I was waiting for.

“It was absolutely brilliant, and I’ll always remember that moment. Onwards and upwards now.”

Harpreet, whose parents Jas and Pete run a corner shop in Brighouse, hosted a viewing party for her family and friends to watch the finale and help her celebrate her big win

Since winning The Apprentice, Harpreet has used Lord Sugar’s investment to help scale up her Oh So Yum! brand and has launched an online delivery service.

Being competitors on The Apprentice didn’t stop romance from blossoming, though.

Just a few months after the series ended, Harpreet announced that she and Akshay had begun dating.

In a sweet Instagram post, she wrote: “The best things in life happen unexpectedly.

“I love sharing my Oh So Yum business journey with you all but this time… it’s a personal one.
