RBC: even more data about Russians will be included in a single database

In Russia, amendments were developed aimed at expanding data on residents in a single database. According to the available document, it is proposed to include socially significant information, information on residence permits abroad and fingerprinting data for migrants in a single database.

According to the proposed amendments, the unified register of information about the population will be expanded with information about parental rights (their deprivation, limitation, restoration, removal of a child from the family or a threat to his life and health), guardians and trustees, limitation of a citizen’s legal capacity or his incapacity, as well as restoration of legal capacity . In addition, driver’s license data will be added to the register, writes RBC.

The register will also contain information about Russians, foreign citizens and stateless persons living or temporarily staying in Russia, including labor migrants. This information will include identifiers of documents confirming the completion of mandatory state fingerprint registration and photography, as well as identifiers of identity documents.

Earlier, Russian businessmen appealed to the Ministry of Finance with a request to hide data about partners for unhindered travel to Europe. Director of the Department for Control of External Restrictions of the Ministry of Finance, Dmitry Timofeev, emphasized the need for a logical approach to classifying data, taking into account the possible economic consequences of sanctions on the country.
