Pushilin’s adviser told what a sanitary zone in Ukraine should be like

Gagin: a sanitary zone is needed at least 250 kilometers deep into Ukraine

Advisor to the head of the DPR, Yan Gagin, said that if shelling of Russian territory continues, Ukrainian troops will have to be moved inland by at least 240 kilometers.

He clarified that the countdown will be made from the borders of the new regions. This is exactly what will be the sanitary zone, which Russian President Vladimir Putin previously spoke about.

Let us recall that earlier Putin, answering a question about the possibility of taking control of the Kharkov region in connection with the shelling of Belgorod, noted that he does not exclude the creation of a sanitary zone in the territories that are currently under the control of the Kyiv regime.

“Now we need a sanitary zone within the range of the longest-range weapons available to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It must run from the original borders of the Russian Federation deep into the territory under enemy control. The range of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ longest-range weapons is about 250 kilometers. We must secure our borders for such a distance,” Gagin said.
