‘How would no&one notice?!’ rage EastEnders fans as they call out glaring blunder during Dean and Jade abuse scenes

EASTENDERS fans have called out a glaring blunder during Dean Wicks and Jade Green abuse scenes.

During Wednesday’s episode of the BBC soap, the residents of Albert Square held a fundraiser for Jade, who has cystic fibrosis and recently underwent a lung transplant to save her life.

However, Jade’s dad Dean was not allowed to attend the event at the Queen Vic because of his history with Linda Carter, having raped her back in 2014.

The twisted businessman has sunk to a new low in recent episodes by tampering with Jade’s medication so that she remains too unwell to travel to Pakistan to be with her mum, Shabnam Masood.

And during last night’s episode, he went one step further after sneaking into the pub to support Jade, only to be told to leave.

With Jade needing oxygen to breathe with her infection, Dean quietly unplugged her supply so she would be at serious risk.

As Jade tried to give a speech to the attendees, she started to struggle with her breathing before collapsing to the floor.

But some EastEnders viewers had an issue with the scenes, as they don’t know how Jade wouldn’t have noticed there was no oxygen coming through her tubes.

Taking to X – formerly Twitter – one wrote: “I’m sorry but Jade should be able to tell the oxygen isn’t on.”

Another added: “How did jade not feel that the oxygen wasn’t flowing.”

A third tweeted: “In the middle of the Vic and no one sees Dean tampering with Jade’s oxygen.”

Meanwhile a fourth commented: “Not one person noticed the oxygen was unattached.”

A fellow viewer mused: “The whole oxygen thing in last night’s episode was ridiculous, she’d have realised it wasn’t connected.”

Despite his actions, Dean had the audacity to blame Jean Slater, who has been helping care for Jade in recent days.

Racing back into the Vic when he was called after she collapsed, he raged at Jean: “What have you done to her? What have you done?”

EastEnders airs on BBC One and is available on BBC iPlayer.
