Fresh footage of Mo Salah leaving the stadium following his injury in Egypt’s game instantly goes viral

Footage of Mo Salah after Egypt’s draw with Ghana has gone viral following his injury scare.

Salah was forced off in the Group B fixture with what looked a hamstring problem.

Having clutched his left leg, Salah was substituted in the first half with the score goalless.

The game would go on to finish 2-2, with eight-time Africa Cup of Nations winners Egypt pulling level twice after West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus bagged a brace.

There was immediate concern from Liverpool supporters who fear that Salah could be facing a spell on the sidelines in what would be a major blow to their title chances.

However, courtesy of Pulse Ghana, footage emerged of the former Chelsea star in the mixed zone and leaving the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium.

He did not stop to comment on his injury but did not appeared to be in any major discomfort while he walked past.

He also cracked a smile, further easing any worries from Liverpool supporters.

Egypt manager Rui Vitoria was hopeful that the issue would not be too severe but could not give too much of an update.

He told a press conference: “I hope it’s not a big problem. But it was a problem in the first half, because we lost one time to make a substitution. In the second half, we only had two moments to make substitutions.

“Now I don’t know because it’s [too] early to see something. I think it’s not dangerous, but let’s see if Salah recovers.”

Although one can’t expect him to have too much knowledge of the injury, Jurgen Klopp is likely to be asked about Salah’s situation in his press conference on Friday.

Egypt have drew both group stage games so far and need to beat Cape Verde on Monday in order to qualify for the knockout stages.
