Forbes names the world’s highest-paid football players in 2023

Forbes has named the world’s highest-paid football players in 2023 as it features the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.

It will come as no surprise that Ronaldo and Messi are once again competing for top spot.

But it’s the Al Nassr superstar who tops the list ahead of the Inter Miami ace.

Ronaldo, 38, is the world’s highest-paid player in 2023, with a whopping value of $260 million – which consists of $200 million on-field earnings and $60 million off-field earnings.

Messi, 36, is ranked second with a value of $135 million. His on-field earnings come in at $66 million while his off-field revenues pockets him $70 million.

Al Hilal’s Neymar, Paris Saint-Germain’s Mbappe and Al Ittihad’s Karim Benzema are the other players who boast a value in excess of $100 million.

Premier League talents Erling Haaland ($58 million) and Mohamed Salah ($53 million) are ranked sixth and seventh respectively.

Sadio Mane, Kevin De Bruyne, Harry Kane and Robert Lewandowski make up the top 11.
